About JCI, Joint Commission International
JCI stands for "Joint Commission International". JCI is a subsidiary of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) which was founded in the U.S in 1951 and currently accredits nearly 80% of hospitals in the United States. JCI sets standards for hospitals focused on one goal: raising the safety and quality of care to the highest possible level.

What does JCI Accredited mean?
JCI Accredited means that a hospital has met the JCI standards. This only happens after the hospital has been visited by JCI surveyors who thoroughly check that the hospital is following all the standards everyday.
