Malta has earned a reputation more recently as a great holiday destination. We tend to use hotels in two area's of Malta close to the hospital, St Julians is a modern more upbeat part of Malta where nightlife is at its best, St Julians is well known as Malta's playground. Sliema neigbours St Julians and together they constitute Malta's main coastal resort, Sliema is a shoppers paradise and plays host to all the well know retailers as well as some more unknown, as well as supermarkets, banks, restaurants and internet cafe's. Malta it truly a first class country with highly proffesional businesses in many sectors still only partially discovered by the rest of the world.

The Surgeons

Malta is a member of the European Union, therefore you are protected by the same legal and medical regulations as if you had the surgery in Britain. All surgeons speak fluent English and some have qualified within the UK and belong to the GMC (General medical Council) within the UK.

In Malta it takes a total of 8 years to become a surgeon and 11 years as a super specialisation surgeon, five of these years are spent at medical school and the remaining years are spent in the elected specialist field. 

All surgeons need to have completed the MBBS course at a recognized medical college. In order to practice doctors must be registered and certified by the Malta Medical Council which is the equivalent of the UK’s General Medical Council and all surgeons must be registered with the Association of Surgeons of Malta.

The Victoria hotel is situated next door to The Palce hotel and also just a short walk to the hospital which is next door. The sea front, shops, bars & restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel is a popular hotel and its staff are helpful and extremely friendly helping to make your stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel is a superior four star boutique hotel which is noted for its blend of victorian decor with a mix of mediteranean hospitality.

 Le Meridien, 5 star St Julians

Set upon the edge of the seafront, Le Méridien St. Julians Hotel & Spa overlooks the shimmering Balluta Bay The hotel's 276 guest rooms and suites offer balconies with striking views of the Mediterranean Sea, and Lotus Spa and Health features amenities such as steam rooms, sauna, Jacuzzi, and a heated pool. Getting to Malta

Malta is a 3 hour flight away from the UK, with regular flights from most UK airports.
